DATA Alliance co-facilitated a technical training for staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), alongside partners including UN OCHA, IOM and NASRDA. The sessions strengthened data and information-management skills for emergency preparedness and response, with DATA Alliance featured among the facilitating organisations on the official agenda.
At Première Urgence Internationale's (PUI) annual M&E capacity-building workshop for its M&E and IM staff across Nigerian operations, DATA Alliance facilitated the Power BI session — covering data visualization and dashboard development to strengthen humanitarian reporting and decision-making.
DATA Alliance participated in a humanitarian communications training for National NGOs (NNGOs) organised by the CEAL Working Group, contributing to capacity strengthening and closer coordination among local actors — reinforcing our growing coordination presence in the North-East.
At the 3iS Workshop on Bridging Information Gaps for Humanitarian and Development Decision-Making — convening NEMA, UNICEF, OCHA, IFRC, NASRDA, NRCS, eHealth Africa, government, donors and humanitarian partners — DATA Alliance joined the panel discussion, highlighting that local organisations already operate in the "blind spots" where formal data systems struggle to reach, and that strengthening local IM capacity is critical for evidence-based decision-making.
At the official invitation of the Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, DATA Alliance supported the Sokoto State Ministry of Health to conduct health data validation across LGAs in the Central Zone — cross-checking facility registers (ANC, L&D, PNC, OPD and General Attendance) against monthly summaries, and delivering on-the-spot capacity building to records officers and facility in-charges.
The 3iS ANTICIPA Project Stakeholders Workshop convened SEMA leadership, NiMET and NIHSA officials, district heads from all 23 LGAs, and partners including ZOA and the Red Cross. Sessions introduced the ANTICIPA AI-enabled community intelligence platform for anticipatory action and early warning. DATA Alliance contributed actively and opened new collaboration pathways across the North-West.
